When Miss USA Teen 2003, Kari Ann Peniche, decided to pose for Playboy, she thought it would jumpstart her career. But little did she realize that decision would lead to her being stripped of her crown.
After she agreed to pose in Playboy, the committee decided to strip her of her crown and her name to be erased from all pageant records. She said there was nothing in her contract about not doing nude shoots and thought since the issue didn't hit stands until after her reign was over she didn't think it would be a big deal.
