Police Raid Wrong House, Kick Man In Groin
Police in Annapolis, Maryland raided the wrong place -- complete with using flash grenades and kicking the resident in the groin before realized they were in the wrong house.
Police spokesman Hal Dalton said something must have been misunderstood in the briefing beforehand: "We don't know how the mistake was made".
30-year-old Silvia Bernal said that about 15 officers burst through the front door of her apartment when she was cooking dinner about 8:20 p.m. The officers kicked her husband in the groin while she fled into a bedroom and held the door closed.
Both of them were then pushed to the ground and handcuffed. Finally, a police officer went outside and realized they had raided the wrong residence.
When officers went to the right place, all they found was an empty house.
