Chocoholic Squirrel Loves 'Kinder' From Finland Store
A squirrel in Finland with a sweet tooth heads to a local grocery shop at least twice a day to steal "Kinder Surprise" chocolate-shelled eggs.
"I named it the Kinder-squirrel, after the treats. It always goes after them, other sweets do not seem to interest it as much," the manager of the store, Irene Lindroos, in central Finland says.
The chocolate-shelled egg, which is intended for children, has a toy inside.
"It removes the foil carefully, eats the chocolate and leaves the store with the toy," Lindroos says.
She just wishes the smrt thief didn't leave the wrappers behind and cleaned up after itself.
UPDATE:
The squirrel has now been banned from the store.
"The squirrel is prohibited from entering," an employee at the supermarket told papers on Thursday. "It's a decision of the health authorities. The door of the store has remained open all summer, but now it will be shut."
