Florist Inadvertently Reveals Married Man's Affair
A married man is suing an online florist for $1.15 million after it inadvertently revealed his infidelity to his wife.
It all started as Leroy Greer of Missouri City used florist 1-800-Flowers to send a stuffed bear and a dozen red roses to his mistress. He asked them to keep the order private by not mailing the transaction to his home or office.
However despite his request, months later, the florist sent a thank-you card to his address. Greer's wife, obviously curious as to who got the flowers since it wasn't her, called the business for the receipt. So the florist happily faxed the receipt for the flowers her husband had ordered.
The fax included the message that was sent with the flowers: "Just wanted to say I love you and you mean the world to me! Leroy".
His wife has filed for divorce, and Greer is suing the florist saying their actions are what caused it.
