Airline Stops Woman Because Her Skirt Is Too Short
A 23-year-old woman who boarded a Southwest Airlines plane in a short skirt for a flight to Arizona says she was led off the plane for wearing an outfit that was considered too skimpy. ![]()
Kyla Ebbert says that a Southwest employee asked her to leave her seat while the plane was preparing to leave San Diego.
"You're dressed inappropriately. This is a family airline. You're too provocative to fly on this plane," she said the employee told her.
"I said, 'What part is it? The shirt? The skirt? Which part?' And he said the whole thing."
At one point, the flight attendant - who identified himself as Keith - said she could get a less revealing outfit out of her checked luggage.
The blonde, who recently had a boob job, was headed to see her surgeon for a post-op visit. "I explained I was only going to Tucson for a doctor's appointment and didn't bring any clothing and couldn't miss my flight," said Ebbert.
"Everyone in the first 10 rows heard me being reprimanded and everyone saw me," she said. Eventually, Southwest's staff agreed to let her stay, but with some conditions.
"Finally, after 10 minutes, he told me to hold my sweater closed and pull down my skirt and that I was too provocative for Southwest.
"I walked back to the middle of the plane where I was sitting and everyone was looking at me. It was so humiliating."
"I put the blanket over my legs and waited until we landed... I called my mom and started to cry."
