Married Psychologist Had Sex With Mentally Ill Criminal

A married psychologist in the UK who says she's in love with a schizophrenic convicted burglar she counseled in a mental hospital is about to have his baby, but she's been spared jail time for now.

30-year-old Stephanie Reeves told the court about her affair with a 20-year-old man who was jailed for armed burglary and other crimes, but was ultimately committed to a mental institution after being diagnosed a paranoid schizophrenic.

Reeves said she had sex with the man in the bathroom of the hospital when she was taking him to the gym. However, a judge suspended the 12-month prison sentence it carries out of 'mercy'.

- Reeves says she loves the man and plans to raise the baby boy with him -- "if he's ever declared safe enough to be released from lockdown."
