At last night's American Music Awards, as Jimmy Kimmel hosted the ceremony, he opened with, "We're here to celebrate the music and the performers who sing and or lip-sync it tonight", poking fun at Ashlee Simpson's recent "Saturday Night Live" faux pas.

Little did he know something unusual would happen here too. Anna Nicole Smith, who wore a curve-hugging black and red gown, became a favorite target of Kimmel after she appeared disoriented, and badly slurred her words when she took the stage to introduce a performance by West. The lass whose name is oft-linked with the phrase "bizarro behavior" appeared to have ingested something a tad stronger than TrimSpa, the weight-loss product she shills, before taking the stage to introduce hip-hop artist Kanye West.

"I still think the best performance of the night was Anna Nicole Smith. I told her to stay away from Snoop Dogg's brownies", Kimmel quipped, referring to a show skit where the rapper and troubled singer Bobby Brown pretended to be selling "$100 brownies."
