Family Plagued By Men After Moving Into Former 'Brothel'
A family who discovered they had moved into a former brothel by mistake are upset after being harassed by late-night callers demanding 'a good time'.
Linden and Karen Bonson and their three young daughters were looking forward to a new life when they moved into the three-bedroom apartment, reports the London Evening Standard.
But they were continually plagued by at least five late-night eager men a day. They then discovered their home had been raided by officers from the vice squad only months before but they were even susprised when they heard the reason -- their home used to be a brothel.
Bonson asked police what to do and was advised to put a sign on the door saying 'no businesses operating from these premises'.
Bonson says he had to tell his children Raffi, 15, Pascha, 13, and Greta, 9, that they were not allowed to open the door if they were out.
"When we started to get them in the early hours, the penny started to drop. I told the girls to be careful. We did not let the youngest out if we weren't in." His oldest daughter being 15 and youngest aged 9.
"None of the men were ever aggressive. They all made embarrassed excuses about getting the wrong address, or that their 'friends' must have moved, and left quickly," says Bonson.
"The only exception was one very drunk student who came about 4am and would not take no for an answer. He kept repeating, 'I was told to ring the bell for a good time', and was very reluctant to believe that he wasn't going to have one. Fortunately for him he realised he was about to have a very bad time indeed and left rather quickly."
