Woman Accused Of Running Strip Club In Her Basement
Police investigating a noise complaint inside a Lawrenceville, Georgia home found something they weren't expecting -- a strip club.
A 28-year-old woman, Constance Trahan, is under arrest for operating an illegal strip club from her basement and garage.
Officers said they also found minors drinking alcohol and a sign at the home advertising '1 Dollar Jello Shots'.
The woman claims it's all a misunderstanding and she had just thrown friends a party to celebrate her newly renovated home.
But a neighbor says the house routinely attracted up to 200 people, including teenagers in the middle of the night.
"There were about 200 people there," says Jim Ferguson, who lives next door to the makeshift club. "It took an hour and half to clear the house."
"It was just too intense to be a house party. This was like a bar," he says. "There were lots of people who dont know each other coming. Now for the past few nights, I've finally been able to sleep. I hope it stays this way."
"It's just a misunderstanding," claims Christyan Hall, who lives with the woman. "It was a regular gathering. The music was loud, but it's a quiet home. There were no strippers, no club, no underage drinking... What people do in the privacy of their own home is their own business."
Hall says the Jello shots were only for the adult guests.
Police also arrested party guest Lester Ramirez, 20, for lying about his age and carrying marijuana.
Ramirez told officers there were dances in the home and that Trahan was selling alcohol.
