Jessica Simpson makes her feature debut as Daisy Duke in 'The Dukes of Hazzard'. The pop star is one of a growing number of stars following in the footsteps of others like Madonna and Jennifer Lopez who want to conquer all aspects of the entertainment industry.

However, a Christian organisation was irate with the video for her single 'These Boots Are Made For Walking' and demanded that she shoot a less raunchy one. Branding her as a 'singing stripper', the organisation emphasised that Simpson should have been a Christian role model, since her father is a pastor. "It's sad to see her whore herself like this. She's a singing stripper", a group spokesperson said.
