Man Robs Bank With Pay Stub Note
A man handed a note to a bank teller demanding $20, $50 and $100 bills with "the quicker the better" written on it. ![]()
Only one problem, it was believed to have been written on his pay stub which led police to the robbery suspect even though the name and address were crossed out with a marker.
"It wasn't a huge forensic undertaking", Steven Moran, director of public safety, said. "We just put it under a light."
Michael Drennon of Philadelphia was charged with robbing the Wachovia Bank in Bensalem. He had been living in a halfway house while on probation. The man left the bank with about $2,500 and police said Drennon had $1,800 on him when he was arrested.
