TV Station Broadcasts Porn Instead Of News

Viewers tuning in for the evening news in an Indian city near Madhya Pradesh were shocked when they were left watching something quite different.

Angry residents in Kailaras, who tuned in to watch an English-language news report, were shocked when what they found instead was a Russian porn movie.

The adult material was broadcast in the region at 8 PM on channel DD-1 for several minutes, a common time for families to gather around and watch the evening news during dinner.

Residents angered by the mixup staged demonstrations accusing station employees of using the relay station to watch pornographic material while on duty, and demanding action against those involved in it. The officials initially termed it as a 'technical fault due to fluctuations in frequencies', but later launched probe into the matter.

Most of the staff members who were on duty when the incident took place have been put on leave since then. It is believed that the employees had been using the station's facilities to watch material broadcast from Russia.
