New Zealand 'Lucky Shopper' Gets A Surprise

Give this store bonus points for creativity. A New Zealand shoplifter was caught after the shop tricked her into visiting the store again after announcing she had won a prize.

A Butcher shop that was the victim of the theft, located in Palmerston North in New Zealand, put up a CCTV surveillance picture of the thief along with the heading 'Lucky Shopper'.

But when Amy Adams turned up to claim her 'prize', it proved to be not so lucky as she was busted for shoplifting.

Adams pleaded guilty to stealing chicken from the shop when she appeared in court.

She was sentenced to 40-hours community work and ordered to pay compensation.
