Second-Grader Brings Cocaine To School
A seven year-old girl brought 18 bags of cocaine to class in a southwest Philadelphia school this week. And police today confirmed that the white substance found in the bags brought to school by the seven year-old was in fact cocaine. Whatever happened to playing with dolls?
The incident took place in Patterson Elementary School officials where plastic bags of cocaine were found inside a second-grade classroom. What's more is that by that time some of the students had already ingested the drugs.
"I was upset because they didn't call me and tell me what was going on", said a parent of one of the students. "My daughter is scared to come to school", said another mother of a students.
Both parents said that the children told them drugs were passed around the classroom. One child said: "I ate it. I asked, 'What is it?' I spit it out and I was like, 'What is it?'".
The parents of some of the children took them to hospital because they heard the children saying others started shaking after taking it.
The school has made some of the the children present in the classrom write out statements about what happened. But school officials have still not made an official statement, and are trying to determine what exactly happened.
