Norwegian Shooting Champion Strips For Funds

A Norwegian shooting champion is posing naked to try and pay hisway to the 2008 Olympics in Beijing.

Are Hansen, 24, hopes that posing naked but for a strategically held rifle and his medals will attract some attention and more importantly some funds.

Hansen, an engineering student, took part in the World Cup opening in China in March and finished in eight place - but it cost him nearly $2,000. He says the problem is the Norwegian shooters' association has no main sponsor and competitors have to pay their own way to major competitions.

"We had to pay half the tour ourselves, and for me, that amounted to 10,000 kroner," he said.

He hoped good results in the event would have attracted more funding. In the meantime, he's decided to take matters into his own hands and figures uncovering himself may help him cover his expenses.
