UK Police Say They Can't Stop Sex In Cars

Police in the UK say there's nothing they can do to stop sexual activities taking place in parked cars around the city.

They say numbers of such spaces where cars park are increasing around the city.

With some areas so popular that they are well known as a place where people meet for casual sex or to watch strangers have some fun.

One resident called on the police to reclaim his local park area for families. He said he wanted to be able to walk his dog in the park near his home without fear of encountering people having sex.

But the police said they were powerless to do anything about it and people having sex in cars was not a criminal offence because it was private property.

An interesting side-note, having sex in a car is an obscene act in Italy and could mean up to three years in prison if you're caught in the act.
