New Zealand Cop Worked Nights As A Hooker
A New Zealand policewoman has come under harsh criticism for some unauthorized work under the covers - after she was caught spending her nights working as a prostitute.
Surprisingly, she is being allowed to keep her day job after giving up the night duties.
Prostitution is legal in New Zealand and police employees are allowed to take second jobs, but a top officer said sex work and police work don't mix.
Deputy Police Commissioner Lyn Provost said the officer had taken up "secondary employment due to financial difficulties", but added, "I can assure the public that... this type of secondary employment would never be approved given that the type of work is inappropriate and incompatible with policing".
