Nude Sunbathing, G-strings Banned On Paris Beaches
One day after we brought you the story about the tourists getting naked at an Albanian beach, comes news that sunbathers in Paris will no longer be allowed to go nude or wear g-strings on the capital's artificial beaches.
Not only that, Sunbathers will risk a fine if they are caught baring their breasts or buttocks. A statement issued by the Paris city hall bans "indecent clothing to preserve the tranquillity of the sandy beaches".
"People must behave according to good standards to maintain tranquillity, security and public order", it said. "Notably indecent attire (nude sunbathing, g-strings and toplessness etc.) is forbidden".
The statement says city police will be enforcing the rules, and anyone caught baring too much flesh risks a $60 fine.
Topless sunbathing and g-strings are common on beaches around France, and in most of Europe, in the summer. But you probably already saw that in yesterday's photos!
