Burglar In Thong Leaves Taped Video At Scene

A northern Kentucky man wearing only a thong and carrying a knife videotaped himself attempting a burglary, then left the tape behind.

That evidence ultimately led to his arrest and Rodney McMillen was charged with burglary. "This is a very, very bizarre case, to say the least", Police Chief Steve Hensley said.

Police said McMillen broke into the woman's apartment about 3 AM EDT, wearing only a thong underwear and carrying a knife. The woman saw him and fended off the attacker, who left the apartment and fled into a stand of trees near the apartment complex.

Investigating officers then came across a video camera the burglar left in the apartment, and found a home video of McMillen's family on the end of the tape.

Investigators were able to identify some of them and were able to track down McMillen.
