Court Tells 'Love Witch' To Return Money
A German court has ordered a self-proclaimed 'love witch' to return the payment of a disappointed client after her spell failed to win back the woman's partner.
The Munich court said that the witch would have to pay back the hefty fee of $1,300 on the grounds she offered a service that was "objectively completely impossible".
The court said: "The plaintiff was in despair after her boyfriend left and tried to get him to return with help from a woman who calls herself a 'love witch'. The court has ruled it was a service that was 'objectively impossible' to render."
After her boyfriend left her in 2003, the client consulted the witch for a spell that would bring him back and carried out the suggested ritual "over several months, each time under a full moon, but without success".
Neither woman's identity was released by the court.
