German Burglar Leaves His Finger Behind

A burglar in Germany made things quite a bit easier for police, when he didn't just leave a fingerprint behind at the scene of his crime � but rather the entire tip of his finger.

The teenage burglar gave police the additional clue as he managed to slice off the tip of his finger on a broken window in the office he was attempting to steal a computer from.

The burglar flee the scene without the fingertip.

"We usually find fingerprints at the crime scene, but it's not every day that thieves leave the original there too", a spokesman for the police said.

The police were able to match the print on their finger to their records, showing the culprit to be a 15-year-old boy.

When questioned, the boy admitted after they showed him the evidence.

"I don't know if the fellow asked for it back afterwards", the spokesman said.
