Prisoner Shrink-Wraps His Way To Freedom

A Bosnian man escaped from an Austrian prison after he got himself shrink-wrapped with some parts for street lamps, made by inmates, and trucked out.

Muradif H. had been serving a seven-year term for burglary and was due for release no sooner than 2012.

But Muradif, who had a prison job making parts for street lamps, wrapped himself in plastic with finished parts on a pallet.

The pallet was loaded into a truck and ten minutes after leaving the prison, the truck driver said he noticed a rip in the covering for a pallet and stopped to check.

"Just at this moment I got a call on my mobile phone from the prison: 'Did you notice anything? We are missing an inmate'", he was asked.

However, it was too late. Austrian police are still searching for the escapee.
