Wheelchair Woman Gets Up And Steals Car
A carjacker in a wheelchair surprised a driver in New Jersey as she sprung to her feet to steal the woman's car, a Nissan Altima, and make a clean getaway.
An eyewitness, who was driving back to work from lunch, noticed a woman in her 20s in a wheelchair arguing with a pedestrian.
When the pedestrian walked away, the woman in the wheelchair rolled up next to the idling Nissan and started arguing with the driver. After exchanging a few words, the wheelchair woman suddenly stood up and open the car door.
The driver stepped out of her car to confront the woman. But the carjacker reached into own jacket, implying she had a gun, which was enough to scare off the driver as she backed off.
The not-so-disabled wheelchair carjacker then quickly grabbed the woman's purse, jumped into the car, and sped away.
The car has been found but the carjacker is still at large. "This is definitely the first incident of its kind", commented Director of Police Samuel Jefferson.
