Man Kills Grandmother In Fight Over TV Remote

A Russian man has confessed to police that he killed his grandmother because they could not agree on what TV program to watch.

While arguments over who controls the remote aren't uncommon, police said the Russian man took things to the extreme by stabbing and bludgeoning to death his 81-year-old grandmother.

"When he started to testify to police, he said he killed her because they could not agree on what TV program they wanted to watch", said a spokeswoman.

She added the man was drunk at the time and now couldn't even: "remember exactly what it was he wanted to watch".

He is now in prison awaiting trial.
