Officer Asked Girl To Do Topless Jumping Jacks
A teenager who sued the city of Pensacola, Florida after claiming a police officer forced her to do jumping jacks while topless has reached a $35,000 settlement with the city.
Newspapers report officer Shawn Patrick Shields found the 16 year-old girl and a 19 year-old man together in a parked car. Shields ordered the two teens out of the car, telling them he could arrest them for lewd and lascivious behavior.
He then told the girl they could get out of it by doing five topless jumping jacks. So she did as the officer asked as he shone his flashlight on her.
Both teenagers reported the incident and passed polygraph tests.
Shields pleaded no contest to extortion. He has been placed on probation for two years and ordered to write a letter of apology to the girl.
