Developers Get Revenge on Stubborn House Owner

Developers in China have turned a house into an island after the owner refused to move out and sell the land.

The Chongqing Zhengsheng Real Estate Company wanted to turn the area into a bustling square, including apartments and a shopping mall.

But the owner of the villa said he won't move out unless the company paid his price.

So what did they do? Dug out all around the house to leave it with nothing around it.

The villa now stands alone in a 10-metre-deep man-made pit in Chongqing city.

"He wanted 20 million yuan, or he'll stay until the end of the world", said a salesperson of the real estate company of the man's demands.
