Police Catch Burglar After His Leg Falls Off

A burglary suspect has been caught red-handed but only after he was let down by his artificial leg.

Police captured Gregory Daniels after his prosthetic leg fell off as he tried to run away. He and an accomplice were seen using a pick-up truck to unbolt an ATM machine in California and drive it away.

An anonymous caller reported the pair to police as the crime was taking place. Police chased the pick-up truck through the streets until Daniels' partner leapt from the truck and fled.

Daniels tried the same but when the 48-year-old hit the ground, his prosthetic leg fell off and stopped him in his tracks.

The ATM machine was recovered, and Daniels has been charged with burglary, although they are still hunting down the second man.
