UK Council Sends Men For Breast Feeding Courses
A UK Council plans to send its staff on compulsory courses about breast feeding - even the men.
Dozens of workers from the council will spend two days on the "awareness course".
The Council says it will teach the benefits of breast feeding and how to make sure mums have privacy.
There are also tips on bottle feeding and weaning. Bosses at Blackburn with Darwen Council say they want to improve care for mums who use the 13 nurseries and family support centres they run.
But local papers and media have blasted it as "crazy political correctness".
"It is ridiculous and embarrassing", says one.
But the course teacher, Michelle Atkin, thinks it could be useful: "They will learn to avoid a situation of embarrassment, like telling a mother 'you shouldnt be doing that'".
